Dear Petra :
We need your help immediately.
Yesterday, President Obama made a bold statement about accountability in government: "Starting today, every agency and department should know that this administration stands on the side not of those who seek to withhold information, but those who seek to make it known."
Now that principle is being tested in Virginia, where a PROTECT-backed government accountability bill for children is under attack. This victory is important to advance the cause of accountability in every state!
Virginia Sen. Toddy Puller and Del. Ward Armstrong have introduced legislation to give the public information on how our child protection and justice systems are protecting children. Powerful behind the scenes opposition is already growing. Please take just a few minutes right now and call Sen. Puller and Del. Armstrong to thank them and let them know they have your support. If you are a Virginia resident, your help is especially needed!
You can reach Sen. Puller at (804) 698-7536, email: district36@senate.
You can reach Del. Armstrong at (804) 698-1010, email: DelWArmstrong@house.

Thank you for springing into action!
